What a challenge and pleasure for me to dive into the Frontier League and a whole new set of players to analyze, discover and present to you. As I mentioned in my introduction to the Frontier League Journal, I’m very well-versed in all matters of minor and major league players, but the independent leagues (made up of college players, veterans and other hopefuls) will see me doing research like a madman.

With time, you’ll see this “Transactions” feature on the site going deeper and deeper into stats analysis and career recaps for the players covered, but also the implications for the teams as far their strengths and the history with the players go. For the time being, I’ll rely on the few players I know, research and common sense. Bear with me as get up to speed with these baseball actors, for in a short while, all this will make sense to you, I promise.

In order to not go completely crazy, I’ll focus this post on the transactions that have been completed in the last few days. Little by little, everyday, the same names and teams will take shape on the screen and we’ll be able to better evaluate the different moves by the sixteen clubs.
